I will answer when asked.
Test me, I will try it.
Provoke me, I will retaliate.
I will do what you want me to do.
Not because I agree with what you want me to do but solely for the reason that I just want to prove to you that I can do it.
Can.
Yes, that's the operative word: Can.
In overcoming limiting beliefs about ourselves, "can" is the most powerful word that could hurdle all the blocks that limit success.
We Can, If We Will
Most of us may not know it yet but we have the power to be able to do a number of things that we initially think is impossible to do at the first instance. So if we think we can't, then we really can't. What we think of ourselves is really a crucial way in determining what we could actually do. Because if we limit ourselves through our thinking, then we can never really do what we think we can't do.
Sky's The Limit
Just like this famous expression, what we are capable of doing is limitless. Come to think of it, even the skies are no limit as the skies are frontiers that we have already explored as well. Just imagine the Wright Brothers. Were it not for their bold and daring thinking that we could actually travel from one place to another through the skies, then airplanes would not have been made!
What we hold in our thoughts are such powerful mantras that could unlock our limitless potentials to do great things, thus, overcoming limiting beliefs and onward to success. In the end, it doesn't matter what others think of us but how we inwardly see ourselves that really counts.
I Think, I Believe, I Know
I Think
Cogito ergo sum. Latin maxim reminds us of how we differ from all other living things. We have the capacity to think. We are gifted with the power to rationalize. However, it is this power to reason out things, weighing options, which sometimes do us more harm than good if we want to succeed. We may end up limiting what we can physically accomplish by thinking too much.
I Believe
Amen. So be it. If you believe in yourself, there's nothing you cannot do! Willpower! How can you expect other people to believe in you if you don't believe in yourself?
I Know
When you know something, you are sure. It's a fact that no one can take away from you. So go. Do!
Limitations are sometimes just illusions. In Richard Bach's Timeless tale, Jonathan Livingstone Seagull overcame his limiting beliefs by learning to let go and trusting himself:
"Don't believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation. Look with your understanding, find out what you already know, and you'll see the way to fly."
